Water Harvesting Loan
With increasing challenges in consistent water access across the region, the Water Harvesting Loan was developed to support members in acquiring sustainable water solutions. This product enables the purchase of plastic or metallic water tanks, tapping gravity-fed water systems, constructing ground or underground reservoirs, and digging wells or small dams. Beyond access to clean water, it also promotes environmental conservation by reducing flooding, preventing soil erosion, and easing pressure on national water supply systems.
Requirements
- Loan amount ranges from UGX 100,000 to 150,000,000.
- Repayment period is monthly and must not exceed 24 months.
- Loan must be used for purchase or construction of water harvesting infrastructure.
- Bill of quantities or quotation is required from the contractor or service provider (if applicable).
- Member must meet SACCO’s general loan eligibility requirements.
